According to Your Faith

"And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you." ~Matthew 9:28-29
Christ just left a house where He had healed a rulers daughter that they thought was dead. Maybe she was and maybe she wasn't. To them she appeared dead and they were already having a funeral ceremony in place. All that matters is that Christ took her by the hand and she arose.
After leaving that place two blind men followed Him saying "Have mercy on us." Webster defines mercy as: 2a: a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion." This was what the two blind men were seeking; the blessing of Jesus' divine favor and compassion. They wanted to be healed and able to see.
It is the same for us today. If we are to be healed or to revive from any of our adversity's we must first know where that divine favor comes from. We must do what the two blind men did and that was follow Jesus. Then we must ask for His mercy.
Just as He asked the blind men He will also ask us, "Do you believe?" To believe we have to have faith. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It's difficult for some people to have that kind of hope in something that they can't see. However, it is important that we believe that Jesus is capable to do Mighty things in our lives. If we believe, it will be done!
Once we reply just as the two blind men did, "Yes, Lord" Christ will heal according to our faith. All it takes is the faith of a mustard seed to believe and move mountains. But, if we believe even more Christ will grant even more in our lives. Those two men walked away with their sight and even did what He told them not to do, "See that no one knows it." It's hard to be quiet about something so miraculous such as a healing so, they went out and told everyone the news of what Jesus did.
Are you facing an illness or injury today? Maybe a challenge in your life that you need to overcome. All it takes is faith in the Lord and He will be there to help you. Just say, "Lord, I believe" and it will also be granted to you according to your faith as well.

Prayer: "Lord, we believe!"
